Many think that tax evasion is so widespread that it can’t be a big deal. They think that it’s just a person being lazy and not trying, but it’s actually quite a big deal, one of the more serious crimes.
Most people think that tax evasion is a minor issue, but its a big deal. Yes, there are some people who are just lazy, but it is also a serious issue. Especially when they get caught.
While tax evasion is a more serious crime, tax-fraud is a bigger deal. It’s not just a person being lazy. It’s a person who is planning to cheat the government out of tax money. The IRS is one of the largest agencies in the world and has resources to investigate tax-fraud cases.
So, what do you do when you’re caught? There’s no easy answer. You can either lie, take the government to court, or simply give up. If you choose to lie, the IRS will have you work for them, which will cost you some money, or they may not bother to investigate you. If you choose to take the government to court, you may be arrested, but it is likely to be in state court, which is usually a much better outcome.
Its not just that you can’t be arrested in state court like in a federal court. I’ve been arrested twice for tax fraud and I have no idea what is in the law.
While the IRS may be the entity that takes you to court, the law is pretty much left up to the other entities involved. This means that you can lose your tax refund, or even be arrested for not paying tax.
The IRS is a huge entity. The Internal Revenue Service is the largest federal tax service, and it handles billions of dollars for the federal government every year. Despite what you might think, the IRS doesn’t have a lot of power. A typical person in the United States has an annual income of $75,000-$125,000. If you get caught by the IRS, you may be imprisoned for a few days and then have to pay back taxes.
Well, you might not lose your refund, you might be arrested for not paying tax, and you might even be charged with a felony. Still, in the hands of the IRS, this can be a pretty large headache. The IRS is the primary agency responsible for auditing taxpayers, and if you don’t pay the taxes you owe, they will then put you on a tax-evasion website. The site will ask for your tax information and take your payment.
If you go to that site, you will receive some very annoying warnings that your payment is being held in a special account where that payment is never paid. If you do not pay by the deadline, your payment is blocked and then your file is sent to the IRS and then you can be charged with a felony for not paying the taxes that you owe. The IRS is going to use this as a tool to get more information about you.
The idea that this is not just a harmless website (especially when you think about how much money the IRS gets from it) is a great one. The website is run by the IRS and if you don’t pay the money they’ll fine you. It might just be the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard about. I understand that this is a violation of the IRS’ own tax laws. But I don’t get the whole “we’re not doing anything wrong” vibe here.
